International online workshop/webinar on "Development of Quality Assurance Methodology for Initial Vocational Training Study Programs & Pilot Implementation Results", held at EOPPEP, on 27.07.2023

On July 27, 2023, the Directorate of Communication & Development and in particular the Department of the National Quality System of EOPPEP conducted with great success an international online workshop/webinar on "Development of Quality Assurance Methodology for Initial Vocational Training Study Programs & Pilot Implementation Results", within the framework of the activities of the approved proposal "EPOS VET", implemented by EOPPEP as the National Reference Point of the European Network for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training EQAVET, under the program "ERASMUS+ EQAVET NRPs 2021-2023".

Official greetings were addressed by Mr. Kasaras Konstantinos, on behalf of the General Secretariat for Vocational Education, Training and Lifelong Learning of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Mr. Bois D'Enghien Koen, representative of the European Commission, DG for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, and Ms. Courth Anette, on behalf of EQAVET Secretariat.

In the context of the workshop, a general overview of the activities of EOPPEP, as the National Reference Point (Law 4115/2013) of EQAVET, was presented and in particular the Quality Assurance Methodology of Initial Vocational Training Study Programs and the  Implementation Guide , as well as the results of the Field Research, conducted in two public IEKs, in order to depict the results of the piloting of the above Methodology.

The workshop was also honored with extremely interesting presentations by the representative of the National Reference Point of Hungary, Mrs. Katalin Molnárné Stadler, as well as the representative of the National Reference Point of Italy, Mrs. Marianna Forleo, who presented the key policies and activities of the two countries in the field of Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training.

Finally, extremely important was the participation in the workshop of the Directors as well as of trainers and students of the Experimental DIEK of Glyfada and the Thematic DIEK of Egaleo, who participated in the pilot implementation of the Quality Assurance Methodology, who testified their experience from the process and underlined the importance of self-evaluation and active participation of all stakeholders (management,  trainers and students) as a means to enhance Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training.
