International Conference on: “Tracking of Vocational Education & Training (VET) Graduates in the labour market The case of I.E.K. graduates - Survey Findings and Conclusions”
The National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) as the Greek National Reference Point
of the European Quality Assurance Network for Vocational Education and Training (EQAVET) and under the EQAVET NRPs-2017 Program,
organized successfully an International Conference on 8 March 2019 in Athens, at the "Royal Olympic" Hotel.
The National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) as the Greek National Reference Point of the European Quality Assurance Network for Vocational Education and Training (EQAVET) and under the EQAVET NRPs-2017 Program, organized successfully an International Conference on 8 March 2019 in Athens, at the "Royal Olympic" Hotel.
The purpose of the conference was to present the findings and conclusions of a recent relevant field-research conducted by EOPPEP in collaboration
with the National Institute of Labor and Human Resources (EIEAD) and the effective exchange of views between VET specialists, VET providers and other
interested parties.
Representatives of National Reference Points (NRPs) from other European countries (Finland, Croatia and Romania) also took part in the Conference.
In particular, the representative of the EQAVET Network, presented the European policies and current developments on VET graduates tracking
and the representatives of the Finnish National Reference Point of EQAVET presented the Finnish VET system and the tracking mechanisms of VET
graduates applied in Finland.
During the second session of the Conference, three (3) workshops were held, attended by the participants in three working groups.
The workshops were focused on the following topics:
Workshop 1: The role of graduates tracking surveys in improving the quality of VET provision.
Workshop 2: The necessary institutional and methodological framework for the development of VET graduates tracking systems.
Workshop 3: Demand and supply of VET graduates’ technical and social skills within the Greek labor market.
The conclusions of the workshops were presented in the plenary session of the Conference.
